Canon Jackie Corkery (Retired Parish Priest of Kanturk) has passed away suddenly but peacefully at his residence in Castlepark, Mallow on Friday 20th August 2021. Son of the late Seán and Joan Corkery Drombeg, Aghinagh, brother of the late Sr Ligouri (Mallow). Very deeply regretted by his brother Michael, sisters Maura, Sr Siobhan MMM (Joan), Margaret (Twomey), brother-in-law, Michael, sister-in-law Kitty, nieces, nephews and their families, Bishop William Crean, fellow clergy, relatives, former parishioners, neighbours and friends.


Arrangements

In accordance with HSE and Government Guidelines and in conformity with church guidance, Canon Jackie will lay in rest at St John the Baptist Church, Rusheen on Sunday the 22nd of August from 11am to 1pm for those who would like to visit for personal prayer and again at The Church of the Immaculate Conception, Kanturk on Monday the 23rd of August from 11am to 1pm. Private Funeral Mass will follow in Kanturk at 2pm. This will be livestreamed on www.churchservices.tv/kanturk Private burial after in Kanturk Church grounds.
Those who would have liked to attend the funeral but due to current restrictions cannot, may like to leave a personal message by selecting “Condolences” on rip.ie
