Born 30th October 1946 - Died 14th February 2024
Born in Cork City and raised in Macroom Co Cork and resident for many years in Leigh on Sea Essex England. It is with the deepest sadness that we announce the death of our dearest Michael in Southend University Hospital, Essex on Wednesday,14th February.
Beloved husband of Jan and cherished father of Gerry and Jessica. Adored Bompa to his grandchildren Ophelia, Henry, Hugo, Violette, Clara and Aoife. Our hearts are truly broken.

Much loved son of the late Jerry Lucey and Joan and stepson of the late Nora, (Macroom). He was a devoted and beloved brother to Elisabeth, Bernie, Catherine, Jerry (New York) Conor and the late Breed Rose, Joan, John and Don. Also remembering his loving extended family and dearest friends.

Arrangements

Michael’s funeral will take place at the Church of our Lady of Lourdes and St Joseph’s Leigh on Sea on Wednesday 20th March at 10.45am followed by a private cremation.
A celebration of Michael’s life will then follow at a venue to be confirmed.
