The death has occurred of Rita O’Brien (née McSweeney) Killinardrish, Canovee and Macroom, Co. Cork, unexpectedly but peacefully at home on October 18th, 2026. Beloved wife of the late John and loving mother of Maureen, William, Patrick, Siobhán, Aisling and John.
Dearly loved and sadly missed by her sons-in-law John, Martin and Jethro, daughters-in-law Katarina, Clare and Oonagh, and adoring grandchildren Jack, Dorothy, Ellen, John William, Eoghan, Mary, Molly, Cara, Orla, John Joseph, Niamh, Peter and Fionn.
Her loss will be deeply felt by her sisters Mary and Joan, her brothers Colman and Finbar,
sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, and a wide circle of loving relatives, kind neighbours and good friends.
Predeceased by her sisters Anne and Teresa and brother Tony.

Arrangements

Reposing in Fitz-Gerald’s Funeral Home Macroom P12KX79 on Wednesday 21st October from 5.30pm until 7pm with Prayers.
Requiem Mass Thursday 22nd October at 11am in St John the Baptist Church, Canovee (Eircode P12HV57) which can be viewed on https://sites.google.com/view/life-is-a-river/home
Funeral afterwards to St Colman’s Cemetery, Macroom.
